Accommodations and Facilities

With four winterized lodges available for guests, IAWAH can host groups of 10-150. In late spring and early fall, the capacity increases to 200 with the use of seasonal rustic cabins and tabins (tent cabins).

Derbyshire and IAWAH Lodges are set up dormitory-style with bunk beds, common washrooms and a meeting room. In Bush Lodge, guests have a small three-piece washroom in each room. All overnight guests are required to bring bedding, pillows, towels, and toiletries.

IAWAH Gym (Multi Purpose Building)

This building can be used as either a large gathering area, conference hall or as a gymnasium. It houses a 1,300 square-foot climbing wall which features overhangs, an arête, and a variety of other climbs.

Dining Facilities

We are pleased to offer a large, sunny dining room in IAWAH Lodge which seats 160 people. Larger groups can be served in two sittings. All foodservice is provided by IAWAH.

Meals

Meals are served family- or buffet-style. Tea, coffee, water and fruit are available throughout the day in the dining hall. Guests should inform the office of any special dietary considerations (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, food allergies) at least one week prior to arrival.

With the possibility that more than one group may be on property at any given time, it is important that mealtimes are coordinated. Unless otherwise arranged through the Registrar, the IAWAH mealtimes are as follows:

  • 8:00am breakfast
  • 12:30pm lunch
  • 5:30pm dinner
  • 9:00pm snack

IAWAH Tuck Shop

The tuck shop will be open upon request. Please arrange this prior to your arrival. The shop stocks a variety of chocolate bars, candy and pop as well as a selection of IAWAH clothing and souvenirs.
